My good friend put the site We Can Still Have JOY together. He’s a Phish fanatic, and you will be too – definitely one of the most unique and interesting site ideas I have heard of. Today I went in to Bumble and Bumble. They have an amazing program at Bumble and Bumble Universary called Model Project. It gives you free haircuts, styling, and color IF you qualify and are willing to leave your hair in the hands of a student. Just sign up online and they’ll call you to some in and get your hair checked out. Schedule an appointment and voilà! In 2 weeks free color, 1 month free cut. Sweet.

I was at Union Square a week ago when I snagged some free Monster Mixxd energy/juice drink. Now, something I love about New York is that there is always free stuff being given away. I like free. Unfortunately, this free Monster tastes like free garbage. Rotten garbage. 7 thumbs down. That bad. Now you know.

Hmm… this is when I realize I’m drinking radioactive garbage.

I’m experimenting with the dichotomy of beauty and the beast – that is the visualization of of what appeals and repulses. And ultimately provokes. This is my first experiment.

Craft Corner: Elephant Bib

Today on the craft corner, I took old fabric and embroidery floss to create a hand-stitched bib for my new baby nephew, Will. Basically, I saw the bib somewhere on sale for a ridiculous price and thought to myself, “self, I bet you can make this.”

So I did. For the elephant, I just Google-searched “elephant outline” and the rest is history. Oh, I guess I used double-sided interfacing on the elephant shape as well and then stitched around it.

Tomorrow my fingers will hate me. Eh. At least it came out a success!

As part of the Seaside Summer Concerts, these fine ladies are preforming at Asher Levy/Seaside Park in (drumroll) Coney Island. If I never had a love/hate relationship before, I certainly do now. Love: the concert doing on. Love: that it’s free. Hate: that it’s in Coney Island. Really? Hmm. No wonder it’s free. Sigh. To go or to stay? Depends how much you love Blondie!

For all of you wondering what’s going on in the life of Stephanie. Hold on, because it’s going to be a wacky ride. I’m going to give you the update on me, as well as what is going down in this fair city of New York. And it’s all free!

Well, reading this at least;) But let’s face it, those of you who know me know I’m thrifty so I’m going to show you how to get a bang for your buck. Besides, aren’t the best things in life free?
